Delta Air Lines Receives Single Operating Certificate From The FAA, Goodbye NorthWest

British Airways To Drop First Class Service In New 787s

British Airways will not be including a first class cabin in its fleet of 787 Dreamliners or in its upcoming delivery of B777 Worldliners, according to Baltimore News Net.  The airline will have first class accommodations on its news A380 superjumbos.

787 Dreamliner 001 Makes Nearly 6 Hour Test Flight

The Seattle Post is reporting that the first 787 test plane made its third successful test flight on Monday.  The flight, over Washington state, lasted for nearly six hours.  Boeing provided no further details.

Boeing Now Owns 100% of Boeing Charleston

Boeing has acquired Alenia North America’s interest in Global Aeronautica.  Alenia had maintained 50% interest in GA with Boeing owning the other 50 % after its Voight buyout earlier this year.  This gives Boeing 100% control of 787 facilities at Charleston International Airport.

Qantas Takes Delivery of Fifth A380 & Announces London Service from Melbourne - Qantas received its fifth A380 aircraft and is expecting a sixth in a few days.  Qantas also announced a flight between Melbourne and London with a stop in Singapore.  More information here.

Boeing Is Ready To Fly a Second 787

KIROTV.com is reporting that Boeing is readying a second 787 for a test flight on Tuesday at 8:45 AM Pacific time.  The first test flight of a 787 Dreamliner occurred last Tuesday.  That flight was cut short due to inclement weather.

Orangeburg Seeing Uptick In Development Inquires
