GE Engine Equipped 787 To Begin ETOPS Testing In July

787 Dreamliner Nearing Certification Says Boeing

Boeing on Thursday says it is nearing FAA flight certification for the 787 Dreamliner.  The flight test are on track for delivery later this year.  Boeing has completed 60% of flight testing for Dreamliners equipped with GE GEnX engines and 80% complete for Rolls Royce equipped airframes.

Video Of Sixth Test 787 Dreamliner Test Flight

Boeing has posted a video of the sixth and final test 787 airframe.  The 6th Dreamliner is the second 787 to use the GE GEnx engines.  The video can be seen at the bottom of this post.

40 New Jobs Created At GE Aviation In Durham More To Come In 2011
